Hi

I am having exactly the same problem, I solve it by loading
nvda, it kinds of wakes things up. Not sure what is going on
here.

Regards

Adrien

Same here. Outlook 2003 freezes on me very often giving the
message (Outlook has stopped working...) and most of the
time silencing Jaws in the process.
Mind you, IE has started doing the same. It's terribly
annoying to have to reboot the machine every so often.
Sometimes I manage to get the speech back using the task
manager or by killing Jaws with Windows Insert F4 or, by
managing to click the message which says close the
application with sighted help or by other clumsy methods. My
system is Windows 7 32bit, Outlook 2003, IE 9 with Jaws 13.
With IE it could be a Flash crash of some sort but I don't
even remotely have an idea why this is with Outlook.

Hi Mike and Eleanor

I have noticed, on the odd occasion, that my machine
completely freezes when using Outlook 2003. If I reply to
an Email, for example, everything just goes stone dead, JAWS
disappears, and nothing happens. Sometimes I can just press
the on/off switch quickly and it will shut down properly.
But sometimes I have to force the PC off, and I don't like
doing so.

I'm wondering if Office 2003 is getting a bit too old for
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit? Any thoughts?

It's only now and then that this happens, but as you have
both raised issues, I would add my own voice here.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Eleanor,

Funny, my computer is hanging when using Microsoft Outlook
2003. When I reply to an email for example, especially if
they are not plain text, it takes a few seconds to think
about it.

Regards,

Mike

Second at a Time

Hi
I have a problem developed only recently. I can be reading
a word document or an e-mail or even writing and the
computer freezes for a second or two, then all is well.
However this keeps happening. Now you could say maybe I
have a problem with my computer but it has started happening
on another computer too. the only thing I can think of is
that I have started using MSE on both computers and more or
less at the same time. Might something be updating and
causing this freeze? I am wondering if I should remove MSE
to see if it resolves the problem.
