You can move through the play with the following keystrokes in VLC

left ctrl plus left and right cursors for large movements
Left shift plus left and right cursors to make smaller movements.

Hope this is of help.

I have been using this to play MP3 files, e.g. a 1 hour play. Now my question, the play is divided in to 2 parts and clearly defined, Part 1 ends, there is a slight intermission by way of advert and then Part 2 starts. I want to be able to jump from Part One to Part 2, it does not have to be an accurate move but I want in other words to move 15 or 25 or 35 minutes on. Is there any way I can do this please?
