I haven’t had a chance to do my review, but will try to do something before the
meeting and will look at this one as well, although on the face of it it is
very solid and has a decent yield. Very similar in performance to Civitas
Social Housing CSH. They would both have been excellent buys in March !
What I was planning to look at were the REITS that crashed in March along with
everything else, but that have not recovered like SOHO and CSH have, but for
the wrong reasons. Property investment is a very specialist area and not well
understood by many and for that reason there are REITS that people are fearful
of because of their retail exposure, but maybe are less at risk than many seem
to think. One of these in my mind is Real Estate Investors. Excellent CEO who
has a large stake himself, they are still paying dividends and have collected
90% of rents in the last quarter cf many who are at less than 50%:

Looks like I have just done the review and made a recommendation !! ! – but I

I know that we are all deeply shocked and saddened by John’s awful accident
and our thoughts and prayers are very much with him & his family. Despite
everything, Jan kindly took the trouble to pass on that John thought it
important to let us know that silver is now at 27 dollars. Therefore, I think
that he would approve of us pressIng on with the meeting, and Peter may be able
to give an update on his progress.
I attach an Agenda and have been emboldened to ask the question, "With Covid,
China, US Election & Brexit are we entering a Bear market, and if so is our
portfolio positioned wisely?”
I have opened a folder in the shared site for the August meeting and would
ask Raconteurs and Proponents to upload their matrices directly into it.
Nick’s thoughts on Draper Esprit are already there.
The meeting will open at 7.30 pm and the business will start promptly at 7.50.
