Apologies but I shall be away this Monday.
I’m happy to add my vote for Nick for Chairman.
Best regards
Neil

Dear everyone,
We meet on Monday at the Village Hall at 7.30 pm. This later start gives
time for the Pilates folk to exit at 7.15. Jennie has kindly volunteered to
do the eats but could some strong helpers please also arrive at 7.15 to help
put out chairs for the meeting and a table for the food & drink. The hall
has glasses, plates, etc but this means a requirement for washing up at the
end so would some of those who didn’t set up please help clear up.
The meeting will include the AGM which is not normally a prolonged process
but it does behove us to condense our thoughts & comments so the meeting can
proceed at a brisk pace, bearing in mind we are paying for the hall by the
hour! The AGM has 3 parts;
- the Audit which has been done by Nick.
- the Club appointments. After 17 years of faithful service Peter is
standing down. There was not exactly a deluge of volunteers to replace him
(big shoes to fill cf “Succession”), but Nick has nobly been persuaded to
stand (possibly to avoid having to do the Audit again next year). Having
been both Secretary & Treasurer he is an admirable choice should the AGM so
decide. If anyone else would like to be Secretary or Treasurer Richard & I
would gracefully stand aside….
- the Constitution & Rules. These are enclosed. Anyone wishing to make
significant amendments will be invited to form a Special Working Committee to
overhaul them….
I enclose the relevant paperwork and apologise in advance for not being
there. Would others please indicate their availability to spare Jennie from
crisp overkill.
With best wishes
David
