Great conversation!
This is one of the questions I've had for a while now. Technically I am not
a producer, but used to float in that realm a few years back. Since then
I've actually directed my career path towards Interaction Design and
Development. Taking a more user centric point of view in the design of
products (both web and non-web). There are a ton of resources out there,
but I'd highly recommend taking a look at the Interaction Design Association
(ixda.org). There already have been numerous discussions on resources and
how to "enter" the field. I'd start here,
http://www.ixda.org/discuss.php?post=20885&search=study.<http://www.ixda.org/discuss.php?post=20885&search=study>
Cheers!
David
