I am having a very similar problem. I have an XP WHQL certified audio
driver
that works perfectly under XP. Under Longhorn "Build
5048.winmain_idx02.050401-0536" here is what I see:
1. No wave devices are enumerated.
2. In GraphEdit the device is NOT present under "Audio Capture Sources"
(QCap.dll)
3. In GraphEdit the device is present under "WDM Streaming Capture
Device"
4. In KsStudio, everything seems fine.
5. In Registry everything seems find (compared with XP).
6. When I use the device using the "WDM Streaming Filter" everything
works.
7. The device appears normally under Device Manager.
My device is a "Capture Only" device. I don't have a Render device. But
the
capture device is not available as wave device.
Does anybody have a solution for this? Longhorn is coming soon, and this
is
worrying me greatly.

thank you for your answer. Here are the information you have requested:
We are testing on Longhorn build 5048.winmain_idx02.050401-0536. That
version was handed out at WinHEC 2005.
I will try to provide more details. The situation is as follows:
Our WDM render devices are displayed in KSStudio. They are not displayed
in Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices. Our PCM capture devices are
available there.
Graphedt shows our PCM render devices under WDM Streaming Rendering
Devices. It does not show any of them under Audio Renderers.
On Windows XP the same driver works well.
