Yep, the way you describe it Floyd virtually confirms to me that it's a zooming
issue. What can happen, is that tracks become kind of minimized sometimes,
which in turn affects the part of the scripts that locate specific elements on
screen. It's super complex to incorporate this zooming, as each track can be at
different zoom ratios, but the script does manage this most of the time.
Also, to be able to reproduce all these scenarios is virtually impossible, so
it's just a matter of doing my best. Like I said yesterday, I've changed the
function that determines if a track is a tempo track or not, so fingers crossed
it improves things.
Best Steve.

Hi guys,
As I mentioned a bit ago, I've had the Tempo track issue as well as JPR.
In my case, it has only occured right after recording multiple audio tracks (at
least 10) and as soon as I press stop. I have not had the issue while or right
after using the eq116 however.
Also, when it has happened, up and down arrows do not allow me to get off the
current track.
I look forward to your new build Steve.
thanks,
Floyd...

solve things, we’ll only know when you give the new scripts a run out.

Hi Steve,
not exactly. After closing the EQ, I go to a different track, and the
project I was on has about 30 of them, But I don't really think the
number of track matters, so I go to a different track and press alt l
to change its volume, or g To tweak an inserted effect on this track,
and that's when I get this message saying it's a tempo track.
Then, I tab to the solo button and press enter on it, and enter again
to disable solo, and then it seems alt l Works again.

Hi JP. So, just to clarify, as I’ll try this.
1, You insert the EQ116 on to a track.
2, you close the EQ.
3, You then got a message saying it’s a tempo track?, is that correct?
Just to note here, there probably isn’t a tempo track, it’s just the
scripts that have obtained information that tells the scripts it’s a
tempo track, and that’s what I will try to replace, the logic that
determines if it’s a tempo track or not., as currently it’s too flaky.
I then presume tabbing didn’t resolve things, it was entering on the solo?
I’ll give it a go.

all right Steve. So I reopen the project I was working on yesterday.
At first, I couldn't get Samplitude to act strange again. Then, I
Remembered what I did yesterday, I used EQ 116 on the track. So I did
the same but on another track. After closing EQ 116, I discovered that
yet another track, one that I didn't touch, showed up as a tempo
track. Then I did what you said, tabbed around and activated its solo
button, not using the shortcut but the enter key. after that, I could
activate its volume shortcut as expected.
Does this make sense to you?

Hi JP. Thanks for the info. It certainly sounds like a zooming issue.
The problem is that there are times when a track can be zoomed out,
and this might happen when certain actions are taken, knowing exactly
and consistently is the key here.
I’m hopefully going to change the current way to identify a tempo
track, as it’s obviously too flaky. I have a new build ready to put
out, so I’ll try to get something done today or tomorrow and then I’ll
release the new scripts. If it happens again, could you just try
tabbing across the track header, so to solo, mute etc, and see if that
resolves things, because I’m sure I put some stuff in to zoom the
track to the correct ratio when doing that and controls cannot be found.
Thanks again.
Best steve.

Hi Steve,
so, that tempo thing showed up again, but I was in the middle of a
session with other musicians And couldn't experiment too much. This
time, opening and closing the browser did not work, but I found
another workaround. This message saying unavailable this is a tempo
track appears when Typing Hotkeys like alt l, alt p or g. but if I tab
to the volume field and press enter, it does open. And I think, though
I'm not entirely sure, that after changing a tracks volume, the other
hotkeys start working again on this particular track. When it happens,
it happens on some tracks and not others, and I can't for the moment
tell what's particular about those tracks. Furthermore, I have no tempo track
on these projects.
I can't remember if you said you could reproduce that at least once on
your system.
I keep investigating.

Yes, I guess you missed my e mail I put out a couple of weeks ago, but
the VST 3 issue has been fixed, thanks to yourself nailing it down. I
was able to get another beta forum member to do a specific test, and
they got the same problem. It was a bug with the accessibility flag
that deals with showing edits in the parameter view.
I will be putting out a new build of the scripts in the coming days,
so users will be able to update if they wish, stay tuned.

Hi Steve.
About the object thing, when you say the information is not super
important, I don't think I could do without it now. It is so
comfortable to get the name of the object you just selected. I think
it is now time for Magix To keep their promises, and I know you did
all you could…
About the tracks being reported as tempo tracks, it happens randomly,
and at least I have a workaround to restore things to normal, which is
opening and closing the effect browser, it seems to always work.
If anything new I let you know. Do you know if the VST 3 quirk has
been solved?
