Spoke with Colette Culleton from 365 on this date!

She advised me to send a screen picture to 365 security & this I did!

She also informed me of the many calls she has received on this matter &
commended the V I P's on their stand!

Here is an update.

When you next speak to 0818365365, ask for Colette Culleton. (I guess that'l
be Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6pm.)

Now, there are also two parallel discussions going on about the issue, on
the irelandvipnews list and the vicsireland list. At the moment Paul T. is
away, it appears. (He's also a BOI customer.)

The upshot of it for now is that Joshue O'Connor of NCBI has given his
technical analysis of what could be done to remedy the issue, and Gerry
Ellis - in the Technology Department of BOI - has been in touch with the
site developers aboout it and with Ms. Colette Culleton. Colette informed me
yesterday that it could be midweek before the problem is resolved,
unfortunately. Sighted people are able to use the site fine, BTW. But
because the combo boxes are visuallly hidden, the screen-reader cannot see
them. They need to be made transparent to the screen-reader, and Joshue has
suggested coding to bring that about. This is a learning curve for the BOI.
Some other blind customers who contacted them were not very successful in
progressing the issue with agents at the other end.

Try to top-up your mobile phone. To do that, you go: Money Transfer; Mobile
Top-up. You then get three radiobuttons (for the [only] three MSP's that BOI
has put on their site, so you choose yours to begin the top-up. Next comes

come) the amount combo box, for your euro amount. Instead of Combo Box, JAWS
is just saying * (which it does for the mandatory fields). Well, as we can't
get into what may or may not be a combo box, we can't fill in that field at
the moment. Furthermore, at this point, we notice that our JAWS (15 or 16)
has become sluggish, and doesn't seem to know where we are on the page.

I don't know if it's a Windows update, r the BOI site itself, that is
causing the observed issues. I observed much the same problems there in
Firefox, and also using NVDA.

Now that's the grovelling done!

The Queen Bee informed me a short time ago that she needs credit for her
phone, so I answered "Yes Mum, immediately" & anyway I could do with credit
myself! So I went onto banking 365 to top up on line!

Oh my God....

What was I hit with, but only a new Bank of Ireland web page!

I trawled through it all night endeavouring to top up our phones, but at the
end of a long long fruitless night, both Sean & the Queen Bee still have no
credit!

Is there anyone out there that has come across this & has come out the other
end?

If so, Please, Please advise step by step!
