A friend told me she heard on PBS that you don't see many hummers at feeders in Virginia during May because the Tulip Poplars are in bloom at that time. Apparently they really like Tulip Poplar flowers. Today had three sightings and they all took a quick sip and went to the flower border. Maybe they like the real McCoy over sugar water. raincrow@xxxxxxxxxx > You are subscribed to VA-Richmond-General.
