If you're going to do a conversion, spend the bucks and go Dynamic EFI. The gains are so very worth the cost.
I think I may have a converted 747 somewhere that has the edgecard adapter already installed.

David,The ECM for the 82 and the 84 Xfire motors is not very well documented. Mostwho modded the Xfire motorconverted over to a 7747 or similar ECM which is thoroughly hacked. May want to consider doing that conversion. You can buy a 7747 ECM for about 50bucksand the tuning software is very inexpensive. The $42 def file is readily available. You would need to buy a HAM, which is adapts the 7747 pin connectors to the edge card type connection on the Xfire ECM harness. For real tuning flexibility get the EBL ECM from dynamicefi.com Dominic _____ From: tunerpro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tunerpro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Sent: Friday, April 10, 2009 9:53 PM To: tunerpro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tunerpro] Re: Would like to raise the idle speed on my 1982 Corvette Dave I just signed up for the software and don't know how to use it yet. However what type of fuel injection was on the 1982 corvette? I didn't knowthey were fuel injected in 1982. My self I'm running a holley instead of the factory TBI and that one has an idle adjustment screw located on the throttle. To set the idle the IAC must be disconnected then the engine started put in gear if it's an automatic, set the idle to your desired RPM then shut off, plug in the IAC then restart it. I believe the idle is set in the chip if it's factory. I'm not sure. My mechanic and I were finally able to work out most of the problems by adjusting the location of a few sensors. We hope that the final piece of the puzzle will be to raise theidle speed approximately 100 RPM. From what I've read this likely won't betoo difficult a task. However since this may be the only adjustment thatmay need to be made via the computer I was wondering if there was someone onthe list who has made a similar change or would be interested in making an EPROM for me. Thank you, David
