I saw a courting pair of Eurasian collared doves this morning in my yard. I saw
one about a week ago trying his best to woo a mourning dove, who was not
interested. These are the first I've ever seen, though I'm sure they've been
around here for a long time. The lonely fellow I saw last week was almost
white--not albino, but leucistic, I think. He made a striking contrast to the
regulars around here. I haven't seen him since. I hope he found a girlfriend.
