Workspace control and Clientname can work correctly if you use the WI Hack from Thomas' site. When workspace control is disabled, WI (by default) passes the domain-username as the clientname, not the actual client name. WI without Workspace control is not smart enough to reconnect you to a disconnected session. It will create a new session unless you just happen to hit the same exact server you disconnected from (the zdc send you to it because it's the least loaded server). So if you testing with 1 server, you'll be always reconnect. If you have 50 servers with that app, you have 1 in 50 change (provide all loads are equal) of reconnecting vs creating a new session. When passing through, the farm knows who I am because it says I already have an instance of the published desktop open, it just won't reconnect me. My objection to workspace control (which I have not found an answer for) is a requirement that the PS server know the actual client name. Steps to reproduce: Open Web Interface with passed through authentication Open published desktop session Disconnect from published desktop session, confirm session is disconnected Open published desktop session Receive "Connection Error, You already have an instance of this application open..." Separately Web Interface, Passthrough Auth and reconnection to published apps work great. However, together I get this message. Logging in explicitly on the same client, to the same session, is successful Any hints appreciated. Jeff Hicks University of Colorado Hospital
