Sometimes it isn't that clear, though. In some - albeit perhaps rare,
and poor cases, it can actually be as much down to rights, as
permissions.

And don't tend towards being too pre-emptive about the answer - he / she
may have alternates to your methods, that are just as effective.

About 5 hours per application ;-)

To be pedantic - you don't *need* it.

I have never used ROOT drives as to the TSE and onwards concept. Because
I had to deal with this prior TSE (as in Winframe), when there weren't
any application compatibility scripts.

Cost ;-P

I'd say that's pretty major ;-)

But seriously, I'd be more interested in the explanation as to why you
would choose one, or the other - what sort of business / architectural
reasons or problems would make one, or the other, more suitable.

Here's a couple from me:-

What does install mode really mean / do for a terminal server? Why is it
important / necessary? And what sort of things does it do?

An application recently deployed, is performing poorly - how would you
go about establishing why? And if there's not much that can be done from
a tuning perspective, how would you manage a poorly performing /
resource intensive application in a farm?

Descartes said "I think, therefore I am." examine rationale for both
sides of that perspective.

Ok, that last one was a curve ball / googly, depending on what side of
the atlantic you're on ;-)
