-Rarities found this week-
A SNOWY PLOVER was photographed in the drying basins at Hornsby Bend,
Travis, on 6/16.
Up to 5 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERs have been seen at Hornsby Bend, Travis,
most recently on 6/11. This represents a late date as most have moved
north by now.
A STILT SANDPIPER was late at Hornsby Bend, Travis, on 6/16.
A 2nd year FRANKLIN'S GULL was found on 6/11 and continued at Hornsby Bend,
Travis, on 6/14.
A BUFF-BELLIED HUMMINGBIRD was observed at a private residence in Utley,
Bastrop, on 6/14.
A WOOD THRUSH was a great find this late off of CR 175 and 2243 east of
Leander, Williamson, on 6/13. The bird was recorded singing but was not
seen.
A female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was described at Warbler Woods, Guadalupe,
on 6/11. A male was reported in SW Travis County on 6/12.
