hi guys I am still stumped on this one. I replaced STK's resoldered convergance area etc.. When I went to touch up convergance ( there was a switch on front right corner of deflection brd which gave me crosshatch pattern ) i was able to adjust - looked nice to me wrote to memory - green dots appeared -- powered set off on front panel. turned set on --the red on right side was still bad. tried several times but same results-- problem with red. It was even worst on HD channels ( the cars had red tires. This set was hooked up to a HD cable box via component video (blue-green ) I had seen thread on converging tv to multiple formats. Am i overlooking something. This is my first HD set HELP !!!! tib -- Tiberio Moreira 412 Lancaster st Leominster Ma. 01453 Master Liscence # 9176 tibstv@xxxxxxxxxxx -------------- Original message -------------- > B & D's are perfect! > > ========================== > Jeff Stielau > Shoreline Electronics Repair > 344 East Main Street > Clinton,CT 06413 > 860-399-1861 > 860-664-3535 (fax) > jstielau@xxxxxxxx > ======================== > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: > To: > Sent: Sunday, January 16, 2005 2:19 PM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: hitachi 43fdx10b DP15E convergance problem > > > > hi bill > > I have been on hitachi web site and was impressed with the info one can > > obtain > > This chassis has no magic focus but I am still woundering if it was ok to > > sub STK's from B&D or should I have used originals from Hitachi as Alvie > > suggested > > tib > > -- > > Tiberio Moreira > > 412 Lancaster st > > Leominster Ma. 01453 > > Master Liscence # 9176 > > tibstv@xxxxxxxxxxx > > -------------- Original message -------------- > > > >> I just worked on a 43UWX10B and had a similar experience.
