Amen, preach it brother Bil! I agree that Windows 2000 is all the average person needs. Very stable. Did you know that Windows 2000 is the number 1 operating system in corporate business? XP is nothing but Win 2000 with bright colored theme and a few extras added like movie maker, system restore, etc. (ok, XP boots up a bit faster, but ya just turn it on in the morning and go grab a coffee and 2000 is booted up when ya get back anyways). All the service packs for Windows 2000 run flawless, at least here. I will use 2000 until such a time that the new software written (which I would need to use) will demand a newer operating system, or until new hardware will not operate with 2000. Either way, I hope it is many years. There is a few softwares now that will not work with win 98 making either 2000 or XP required, so the same will eventually happen to 2000 and XP. And the number 1 reason to use Win 2000....NO ACTIVATION!!!!!!!
