Yes, you appear to be correct, the messages can't be copied from the 
search to some other folder. What you could do is move them to a temp 
folder, then copy them back to where you found them and wherever you 
want. Keep in mind, that Mozilla is really in a continuous beta mode, 
they just keep evolving it all the time. Try going to the Mozilla web 
site, join up the wish-list formum and put in a good word for the 
features you'd like to see in the program. If enough people ask, they 
may include it later. I know one feature they never used to have was to 
allow the signature file to go underneath a reply to a top-posted 
message- the sig would always be at the very bottom of the email. Lots 
of people asked (including me) and eventually in verion 1.6 they 
included the option for sig file beneath a top-posted reply (like right 
here).
