I should have mentioned that Ace Utilties has an even more
powerful (and safe) registry cleaner. I sometimes need to use
that one when my system takes way too long to shut down.
I also have instructions for manually restoring System Restore
backups when SR fails to work. Much easier to use the old
registry files if poss (in the RegBack folder).
