Garry,

 Why not just replace the $2.00 chip and the surrounding electrolytics and
be done with it.
here is the voltages from another model using the LA 7845

1- 0v  gnd
2- 18.8v  Vout
3- 39v  Vcc
4- 3.8v  +Vin
5- 3.6v  -Vin
6- 39v  Vcc
7- 1.4v  VP
