Mando, Many ways you ca accomplish this. Internal, if you have space in your tower, or an external drive. I have an external drive at the shop that I connect the laptop to. I am going to try to replace the hd myself but would like some advice in keeping my old files from my old drive. How do I go about transferring the old files to the new hard drive or can I keep the old drive and still install the new one. If this is done (2 drives),how do I go about retreiving files from the old drive since the new one will be the master. Not all that familiar with computers but would be a learning experience since its on my own computer.Thank you very much for your advice.
