I heard today from an Australian that they have a vibrating pad under the=

tactile paving there. Strange that this thread should have arisen when I =
came
back in from site and it might not be true. =20

They may be thinking about the plates for ZEBRA crossings.
Surely, there is no option for tactiles at signal controlled crossings ot=
her
than the rotating cones?

I've just been asked to look into providing these as my client doesn't li=
ke
the idea of cones. I have a vague memory that in the early days of Puffin=

crossing these were trailed but I haven't heard of their use since.

Can anyone shed any light on current providers please ?
