I use WFN and is this discontinued as well? I haveen't had an update for the last year. I use it very effectively and never had the need to purchase WFA.

also is the price of this program reduced as there is no further development? Generally I would say that anyone would have to be plane mad to buy aprogram where all development has been discontinued. It is also reasonable to have concerns about ongoing future support. On the other hand, there is really no alternative. there is the free Loadstone GPS which does work with TALKS but it is free and while quite a lot has been done to gather points of interest together this is no substitute really for detailed maps. Maps andpresumably map data will also become out of date too over time. How longdoes the contract with the map supplier last that ensures the maps are keptup to date? It's all a bit bizzar as modern software is sold electronically, thus virtual, so a number isn't defined. The developers would have generated a code generation system that would exceed projected sales. Gena On Tue, 2010-01-12 at 19:02 +0000, Steve Nutt wrote:Hi Hussein, A word of sanity spoken there. Well done! Letʼs not all panic yet, just because it is not being developed, it remains supported at the moment, until licences are gone. Are there any products it has developed in house (software) that have successfully been brought to market? Just curious. Also, it is important to note that there are many factors that affect business decisions. It's a maze of influences, priorities, stakes, etc. Without hearing from both sides of the story, it's probably best to hold judgement for now. _______________________________________ Have a pleasant day, Kind Regards and Best Wishes, Hussein. There was no-one higher to dispute or argue this with. The decision is made, whilst we might have a fight to have if theyʼd just cancelled Access, the fact that they wrote the lot off makes that harder. It doesnʼt excuse not allowing us to take it on, but there is more to this than any of us really know, of that Iʼm sure of. We appreciate your interest, as our success is built upon developing services and products that are valuable to you, the customer. We have been working hard on this for many years and due to the high quality of our products, we have now been acquired by Vodafone to make and develop products for Vodafone Internet Services. It is because of our new status as part of the Vodafone Group we will not be further developing Wayfinder products, beyond their current version. We understand that you may want to continue to use or purchase a Wayfinder product and so we will continue to sell Wayfinder Navigator Online through our mobile shop. Additional products such as Traffic Information and Safety Cameras as well as Maploader will still be available. However, there will no longer be any further developments for these products. We will still provide Wayfinder Navigator Online as we are confident it is a reliable and robust product, on all platforms. All other products that have been discontinued are listed below.
