using home insurance or credit card insurance for homes can work, but be careful to check the excess. if it is like £200 then you're usually better off not to claim and simply to buy a new phone. as its not only the excess but the no claims you lose out on. an awful lot of people forget the excess. Hi Darren, I take your point, however, my reason for considering a contract is that I would like some security if my phone ever needed replacing again. If you've been following this thread, you'll remember me saying that this need for a new phone was caused by me having my N82 stolen, and if that were to happen in the future, I feel I would not want to have to pay for both a replacement to my Talks Licence and a new phone, and if I remember correctly, contract phones are replaceable at hardly any cost, whereas replacing a Pay as You Go phone is almost as expensive as buying a new phone if I am correct.
