You should be able to cut out part of a file with either Cut or Delete.
Cross Fade Delete doesn't work currently.

Rob, I can still not edit a file that is recorded in 24 bit. My card
does support 24 bit and it works in Sound forge, but when I try to cut
out a part of a file, I get the same message I have always gotten
about
the file must be 16 bit.
