Sheila has been reading a book on Canine Genetics recently(name escapes me).
I will paraphrase:
    If a given malady is primarily with in one breed the likelyhood of a
genetic component is high
    if a given malady is experienced throughout a species, it is much less
likley.
    if a given malady is experienced inter-speciies, it is highly unlikely
to be genetic
take from this what you will, I will find the book title and post later.

breed longer than five minutes can't see bloat/GDV/torsion and other gastric Â
