I have over 200 jury verdicts so far. The jury is always conservative.
They never realize that the attorney is taking a percentage, and has usually
worked two year and fronted the costs without being paid. If a jury gives
you back the amount of medical costs, they think they are doing something.
Juries have been convinced by a strong advertising campaign by insurance
companies to not give large awards. The only saving grace is emotional
distress. Can you imagine the emotions you would have, to see your neighbor
take a baseball bat to your best friend?
I don't know if the anguish is less for your child than your dog.
