[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: declining entrees

This is not directed at you Doris, but we often hear about "supporting" the
clubs with entries. That sounds like charity and my dog show entries are
not charity. Earn my money.
As I said before, bring in judges who will draw, there is a reason they
draw. Club members when picking judges put your self interests aside.
We all enter under judges we think will like our dogs. If we don't enter
that doesn't mean we don't like that particular judge, we just don't expect
them to like our dog so why would we enter? When I was handling we had a
string of dogs to choose from, but most exhibitors don't. They have what
they have.
So the challenge is to the clubs. Earn the entries. Encourage new members
even the ones who bought a dog from another breeder.
