Actually, dogs are supposed to always be judged against the Standard for their breed(s) and not ever against one another, whether at breed level, group, or in Best in Show. Perhaps a course in 4-H judging of livestock, using gives and grants, would be useful for everyone who shows dogs. I KNOW it would be useful for more judges of dog shows!
