If it's after a show...that could be different but I don't ever offer...like you said...especially if it isn't good. Paul I didn't see the original post was about a JR Handler. I would "never" criticize a JR. I would and do encourage them. Whenever I do a critique and have judged JR's, I always include them with positive comments about their efforts...sometimes even personal. In a Denver Specialty I had 3 and one of them had on sunglasses that were way too big. They kept falling off and slipping down over his eyes so I went over and asked if he would mind if I held them for him? He didn't and his handling ability increased exponentially.
