The problem is that sometimes the judge doesn't have a clue.

Not only are you right, it is also a learning tool in many ways such as
for newbies, or whether or not you want show under that judge again, or
know what to or not to bring to him if you choose to show under that
judge again. I feel the judge should be honest of what he tells the
exhibitor and not just pacify them. I think the judge should encourage
questions on why he did what he did to the owners or handlers. J M O.
