My husband built a whelping box with the inside rails for a puppy to escape
under and they were removable when they got older so had lots of room. The
sidewalls were a bit high to lean over to clean but that is easily remedied.
There was a door for the bitch to go in and out but high enough lip so the pups
couldn't climb out until older.
It was easy to assemble and disassemble.
