I was shocked when I saw how much was spent on Board member flights. Most
National clubs don't pay for Board members to fly anywhere - you do it on your
tab. You're lucky if the club pays for hotel rooms in many cases.
I don't understand how flights are so expensive unless members are waiting
until the very last minute. I fly pretty often and 9 times out of 10, I can get
my tickets in under $300.00 and if over $300.00, it isn't much..
Several people have posted on Facebook about how much they paid for tickets to
our National, which starts this week - most are finding that it is more
expensive to fly their dogs and the tickets are not more then $400.00 from the
coasts.
Time to re-evaluate this expense...
