I know this will start things, but, I think we should be able to do like the
UKC and breed outside our own breed and come back in, after 6 generations of
registered dogs, the 7th generation may re-enter the ring. I think it would
help all breeds clear up many health issues, and bring new life to many breeds
that are bred so closely as to allow illnesses that were previously unheard of
in dogs, due to the recessive nature of the illnesses.
I think dogs would benefit. JMmostHO

That would help Dalmatians. Some Dal lines free of the uric acid genetic
disorder are the result of an outcross to a Pointer. Those dogs are allowed to
be shown in UKC shows, but the AKC won't allow that or allow those dogs to be
registered.
