[ SHOWGSD-L ] Singles - a newcomer's POV

In all honesty I have been too busy to pay very much attention to this list
but for some reason I did read this thread and am glad I did. Talk about
confused! Now I don't have a clue how the point systems work or anything
like that but here is a newcomer's point of view...
We bitch because there aren't enough dogs showing to make points or majors
or however that works, regardless, not enough dogs showing, shows are too
small, etc...but yet we also bitch because people want to keep showing dogs
that already have what they need. What is wrong with showing for the fun of
it (I know, *gasp*, dog people view showing differently than horse people),
a grand free for all where all dogs are allowed to show and may the best one
win? Just wondering!
