You have to know that the first stop for that meat was not the grocery
store. I get meat from a supplier that supplies grocery stores. It cuts out
the middle man. Most people have NO clue that when their chicken comes to
the store its frozen and then the grocer unthaws it then you take it home
and re freeze it. Some of the practices that go on drive me crazy! Its
likely that the sirloin was not properly cooled during transport or while at
the store. When a small amount of bacteria is on the outside of a sirloin
and then it gets ground up it multiplies like crazy. Did you ever watch the
dateline story on how eggs are handled in the stores ect? It pretty much
sums up some of the other food problems we have. Thats also why i buy from
some local people:) I do not buy any of my dog's meat from the grocery
store.
