In packs it takes all types of temperament to make the pack successful. You
will have alpha as leaders and the rest will be followers and some will be edge
of the herd. If all are alpha you are going to have a lot of dead wolves. The
way we humans show our GSD's is totally opposite of the standard. We what them
charging around the ring frantically looking for it's owner or person. I do
believe that the standard says that is incorrect Temperament. Give me a dog
that owns the ground he stands on and gaits effortlessly around the ring. It
will look great but it ain't going to win. I would rather watch them in the
performance ring.
