Sally, the MCM was nice...if you didn't have a dog. Since most the venues
were hosted at the MCM..all would converge to the hotel, leaving those of
use with ex-pens and dogs that needed to potty and get out of their crates,
no where to park that was even remotely close to our ex-pens. Along with
the GSDCA events, there were a couple of other non dog related events which
further added to the parking predicament. At one point, we parked in a fire
zone just so we could let the dogs out close to our pens, only to have
security ask us to move. With quite a bit of pleading on Steve and my's
part, we the guard kindly looked the other way for a few minutes until we
were done. We ended up having to park across the street at the Marriot as
it was closer than any spot at the MCM. One time, we were sitting at the
van in the Marriott parking lot and I noticed someone backing out..I
dashed across the boulevard before anyone could get the spot and stood in
the parking space until Steve could move the van. After a couple of days of
this, we ended up leaving the show early, just to get a parking place at
our hotel. Once parked, we hitched a ride to dinner so as not to loose our
place.This was not the MCM's fault of course, but just one of the few
glitches that seemed to plague the national this year. Other than that the
service was good, the rooms nice and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast
and service was good.The front desk staff was very accommodating. We ate at
Pappadeux's nearly every day..it was excellent..some of the best food
around. C
