Absolutely!  When I pay dues or make donations to a social club, fraternity, 
charity or any organization, I except it to be fiscally responsible in order to 
achieve the "mission" set forth.  I'm not saying the Parent Club is fiscally 
irresponsible or inefficient, so please don't take it that way.  (I don't know 
enough hard facts to make an intelligent statement one way or another.)

However, anyone who thinks our Club is/will be immune to the serious downturn 
in our economy is living in a "bubble."  Just look around you.  In today's 
economy, I think it would behoove most organizations to watch their finances 
like hawks.  And yes -- business and pleasure can co-exist.

Before I shut up, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank our Officers, Board 
Members, and Committee Chairs for their hard work and the hours they donate to 
help the Club run smoothly and achieve its goals.  It's difficult to put a 
dollar value on what these guys contribute to the Club.

One more thing...  If the Club is willing to support quarterly face-to-face 
board meetings, then the mandatory attendees should be given enough money to 
eat 3 decent meals a day.  No one should be forced to eat at Taco Bell or 
Mickey D's.  <G>

I agree.  And responsibility for finances is growing more and more

whatever...the GSDCA had quite a few dollars flowing in and out and  that needs 
to run 
like a carefully managed business.
 
I know we are like hawks w/ our regional club budget.  And it  shows.  The 
goal is to be here quite a long time:)
