I took one of my young girls herding last year, she did start to herd them around, but would look back to see what I was doing all the time. The trainer said your dog is too into you to concentrate on the sheep!! So she suggested I herd the sheep to show my girl what to do and she would catch on. I did do this and then all of a sudden one of the younger sheep passed out, YIKES I was terrified I gave the poor thing a heart attack. The trainer said "SHEEP FAINT" when they get stressed, she picked it up and put it back in the corral and it woke up!! I could not believe this, we learn something new everyday <bg> !! My girl did continue to herd the rest if the sheep without my assistance and no more sheep fainting!! ~Vicki Von Charisma German Shepherds www.voncharismags.com My sunshine does not come from the skies, It comes from the love in my dogs eyes. ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2009.
