It is easier to correct rears in breeding, very difficult to correct forehands. The dog with the better rear will look better for most of the class except when you make them go on a loose lead. But even on a loose lead the dog IF doubled and trained well with the better rear will present the better picture. With this scnerio it's easy for the judge but very hard for ringside to understand why the better rear didnot win. NOW if we had ringside loudespeaker and permission from AKC to critque This could be corrected. Corrected only if every judge insisted on a loose lead at some point in each class.
