From a breeders stand point I would choose the dog with a better front as
they are more difficult to maintain in a breeding program. Keep in mind I
am not talking about putting up a dog that drags his rear and kicks his
tail..I am talking about a dog that just lacks opening his hocks "ideally",
but still gets under himself nicely and drives off the rear and does show a
good degree of power in the rear, enough that it propels him forward.

who appreciated a great front extension. So in my early years i put an
emphasis on a great front(my friend Flower boy will tell you i wouldn't
show a dog that didn't have a great front). As the years passed and i met
others in the breed, and great rear drive gained in importance. So i have
question for you judges out there.

equal in every attribute but :

rear(stops before fully extending).

front extension..

> Obviously both dogs are unbalanced between front and rear, although for
different reasons. This happens often at shows, but the smart handler
compensates by either having Dog 1. pull into a tight lead to simulate
rear drive or Dog 2 being held up and carried along to avoid "pounding"
> Let us assume that the judge is very smart and requires the loose lead
and so the handler can't fool you. Which one do you choose? Frankly i don't
have an answer, but would be interested in your thoughts!!!!
