Just because Lew said that the AKC would allow a new election, doesn't mean
that is what would have HAD to happen in the board meeting. The fact remains
that all of these issues could have been dealt with MUCH sooner if a special
board meeting had occurred. Then discussion could have occurred on what the
best options would be. Perhaps there would have been a vote to NOT redo the
election, then how to REPAIR this election to make sure that votes are
counted could have then been discussed. As it is now, everything was just put
on
hold.
Perhaps a new election would have been the best way to make sure that
everyone's votes were valid and counted. I don't know....no one really does.
We
can just suppose. It is my opinion, tho, that not having a special board
meeting and "waiting" 10 days was a mistake.....especially when people are now
screaming for action to have occurred yesterday.
