True, Penny! Now, if breeders would just own up about health problems, bad
recessives, etc. we could know our pedigrees. It's kind of hard to uncover
this information. How do you know fact from fiction or heresay? Everyone has
plenty to say about THE OTHER PERSON'S stud dog, lines, etc.!!!

I disagree.
If you breed without knowing the genetics in the pedigrees of the dogs
behind yours, you might not win. However, you just might pass on
loads of faults or genetic problems that certain breeders did not want
others to know are in their lines. Know your pedigrees, make the best
possible breeding and hope for the best, but it STILL might not work
out.
