Ok First of all I was at this show in question I didn't see Diana there or I
would have most definitely congratulated her on Championship, but I will have
to say something about the situation, I was not there when anyone talked to her
I got there right before the show started as I was not showing, but I went
there to support friends and cheer there dogs on, this show was a Major and I
know a people did ask her what she will be doing as it was right on for a
Major, and with how hard it is find a Major they asked her to keep the dog in
the show so that it would not break the Major. She said that she would stay and
show her dogs no problem, when it came to ring time she was no where to be
found, she never told anyone that she decided to pull the dogs, everyone ring
side thought she was showing. No she didn't have to stay no she didn't break
any rules but when you tell others that you will stay so not to break the Major
and then you up and leave not telling anyone and you break the Major, and
knowingly do it, in my opinion it is wrong and very hurtful to all the
exhibitors that were counting on you to keep your promise. We all know how hard
it is to find Majors and when they are broken when you know the person was at
the show and then lefted, Im Sorry that is not good sportsmanship. How would
you feel if the shoe was on the other foot and you were the one praying and
hoping for everyone to show and have that chance to won the Major and
possibility finish you dog that only needs that Major.
I truly feel bad for all the people that were showing at this show and the
heart break they felt for what she did to them. We have to stick together and
help one another and stand by each and everyone of our exhibitors and to
knowingly break a Major very sad situation and heart breaking for alot of
people that were counting on a chance to win a Major or to finish there dog
also, you never know she could have won the Major that day. This is no way a
attack on anyone it is just a observation of a spectator and follow exhibitor.

Hi All,
I am a newbie to the list and breeding and showing GSD's.
Can someone please help me. You all are so experienced and well informed
that I feel comfortable asking for help.
This past weekend I finished my first champion.
I was blissful until I went back to the show site the next day. The
champion, Tina, I felt had worked her heart out, so I had decided to leave
her at home for a rest.
When I arrived at the show, people did not congratulate me, but attacked me
and insisted that I move my little Tina up that day and that I had to do it
because that was protocol.
Then my handler was challenged and it was insisted that he convince me to
do the same.
Showing is my passion, and I was so overcome with fear and stress, that a
gal who was showing her Standard Poodle, came to my rescue. I left the show
site and did not show any of my dogs. I am so concerned now that I violated
AKC rules. Did I?
Most of the folks who challenged us have never supported me or my dogs, so
I was extremely hurt and amazed.
What should I do?
