Having been an exhibitor and also a vendor at the show= thispast weekend, I
would like to comment on your post and the responding =
posts=E2=80=A6first,great responses by everyone (always too sides to every =
story). Secondly though, I=E2= =80=99m not sure =E2=80=98the list=E2=80=99
isthe right place to ask for ad= vice on such an issue but that=E2=80=99s
certainly your prerogative. If you wanted advice it would seem t= o memore
appropriate to have done it privately to your mentor or someone wh= o
yourespect, JMO. That being= said, I guess Itoo am confused as you were on
the show grounds early Sunda= y morning shortlyafter I opened my booth at
8:15 or so and you spoke with m= e briefly aboutshowing your dog(s) that day
and again this coming weekend. I didn=E2=80=99t know who you= were at that
time butrealized you were a shepherd person from your shirt b= ut still not
knowing who youwere exactly.&= nbsp; Your demeanor was certainly pleasantand
there was no indicatio= n of fear or stress. I know ma= ny if not all of the
exhibitors quite well that were there thatday (you bei= ng the exception)
andI don=E2=80=99t know them to be the attacking type at= all but more the
encouraging kind. Y= ou most certainly have the right to change your mind
about showing o= n anygiven day. You always ha= ve to do what=E2=80=99sbest
for your dog(s)! When you are on the show= grounds the dayof event and
indicated that you were going to show earlier = in the morning whenit came
time for the show and you didn=E2=80=99t appear = and everyone waiting
ringsidethought you=E2=80=99d be there, and the major = breaks, it is very
distressing andupsetting. I was one of the upset distressedones as my bitch
only need= ed a major to win. I did nothi= ng but pay my entry, get my dog
ready to show and wait for anopportunity to= compete with all the other
exhibitors.&nb= sp; We all lose out when something = this happens. If
youdidn=E2=80=99t feel comfortable letting at= least one other exhibitor or
handler knowthat you and your handler were le= aving that is for sure
distressing. = We all have to work together to keep thingsgoing in these
tough time= s.
Congratulations on your latest champion and contin= uedsuccess. I certainly
would= havecongratulated you on Saturday had I known your Tina won but I was
busy= runningmy booth and didn=E2=80=99t make it to ringside on Saturday and
as = I said earlier don=E2=80=99tknow you personally.
