I have discovered that after I sit and read for 15 min or so under red light that when I look up at the sky all the bright stars appear "green" for about 5 min or so. (Green Vega, green Altair, green Sirius, etc.) So for me I wouldn't trust my eye's if I looked and saw green anything (except maybe a meteor, or comet or flying saucer or something...) -----Original Message----- From: sac-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sac-forum-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jack Jones Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 7:35 PM To: sac-forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [sac-forum] Re: Call for Observations Do you want to see a green star? They supposedly do not exist. Check out double star omega Fornax next time around. It is described W/B in SAC Best 110, but I saw W/G at the All-AZ in a reflector. (and no I won't spoil it by telling what everyone else saw when looking at 107 Aquarii) I will though now admit to being astronomically color blind!! (But Swan M4 was a rather pleasing shade of green...)thanks for the confirmation on that one Steve. Soooo, once you get these observations organized send them in so I can prepare the column. I've already got some from Charlie Whiting, where are yours? ;o)) Glad for the clear skies this past weekend . . . and wanting more! aj -- No virus found in this incoming message.
