The SL66, besides being bulky, is a heavy beast, especially with ancillary
lenses, and tiring if carried for a long time. A hot climate will make that all
the more challenging.
The SL66 is best on a sturdy tripod, all adding to weight. If as a tourist, the
SL66 may not be the best option but as a photographer, it has features which
make it stand out from other cameras. A Graflex Century Graphic is a flexible
camera with movements, not Rollei, but will do more than an SL66 and possibly
is more 'carriable'.

Subject: [rollei_list] SL66 for travel?
Does any one use a SL66 for travel to older city centers?
If so which lenses do you bring? How important is a 40mm lens for old tight
quarters?
I am a little concerned about the weight, but the close focus ability and
clarity of slide film on a good size screen are my reasons for considering it.
