I once took my Fujica G690 with me to Sicily. Unfortunately for me, I was
recovering from a slipped disc, so carrying anything wasn't pleasant, but I
suspect that, for a 6x9 camera, it would otherwise have traveled well. My
camera also suffered from a worn spring on the take-up spool, so I lost many
images due to some dramatically unraveling rolls of film and my dogged
persistence. What I was able to salvage, though, made me determined to have
this camera set right.

That being said, I do travel most often with a TLR.

I have three Schneider lenses with shutter in lens boards for my Century
Graphic. I made a lens board for each of the wide angle and long length lenses
I had bought.
The rangefinder is set up for the 'standard' focal length lens. Infinity stops
are adjusted on the focus track with a matching focus scale for other focal
lengths. The rail has scales for the normal focal lengths. A ground glass
screen is also available for the Graflock back.
I looked at Linhof but they are more expensive although a better camera. I
think that the rangefinder automatically adjusts for the focal length of Linhof
lens fitted.
My mention of a Graflex has been greeted with a certain amount of Vim and
Vigour!

If you buy a Graphic the best lenses were the Kodak Ektars. The cheaper lens
on the Century is a Wollensak triplet of good but not outstanding quality. The
best of the bunch was the Kodak Ektar f/3.7, 105mm. This is an Altman Heliar of
outstanding quality. The same design was used on the Ektra and the Medalist
camera. It was also used for the 50mm and 75mm Enlarging Ektar lenses.
However the 101MM, f/4.5 Ektar is also an outstanding lens and much more
common.
I would avoid the Wollensak lenses made for Graflex. Wollensak made
excellent shutters but some awful lenses.
