Hence "generally". Zone system proponents tend to be fine artists who are
landscape photographers etc and the generalisation I think is true. Though
my teacher would sometimes place (print) a zone-as the prominent position in
the print at the exclusion of other zones.

Actually the point is that you can be creative in how a print is rendered
whether it is showing more information or less.
