Direction and Finding
Drogue at apogee main at 820 meters
Weight is about 4.2 lbs
CG on mine is around 28" from tip, I added a little bit of noseweight

I'm all set, except trying to decide on the best chute

Current data and estimates for my Punisher.

Retention: Aeropack
Drogue: TBD, possibly streamer(s)
Main: TBD
Altimeter: Stratologger SL
Dry CG, tentatively 29.6"
Dry Weight: ~4 lbs.
Tracking: custom APRS (GPS), 433.55 MHz

I will be off until Wednesday, so I plan to be working on this in the next
couple of days...

Do we have a tentative time for the launch? I think fairly early Saturday
morning would be best. Any time Saturday or Sunday works for me.

Dry (airframe and electronics, no motor or no laundry), I get a C.G. of
31.25" from the tip, which RockSim says in 1.0 caliber stable with the
K1440.

Since the laundry will be forward of this point, I think mine will be fine
without added nose weight.

FYI, my dry weight is 3.5#, but I still have the main airframe to paint so
it'll probably be a bit more than that afterwards. Yes, it's still in
primer on the weekend before the launch. :)

Based on the roc-chat traffic, here are the names I've gathered so far for
the Punisher race. Who have I missed?

Here's some of the data I'd like to collect - did I miss anything?

My input isn't complete cuz we still haven't finished our rocket yet!

Chris
When I am back in town, I will post my cg info. Probably best to do it
without the motor installed since most people may not have a loaded casing
handy. Perhaps David Reese can provide that info to as he flew it.

David,

Glad you had a successful flight (and got your rocket back!) Hopefully
you measured the CG position of your Ready-to-Fly rocket so that we can
all match it and be assured of stability.

That said, this drag race offers the opportunity to obtain some
interesting statistics on the Punisher. Given everyone's flying the same
rocket on the same motor, I'd be interested in gathering some performance
numbers including pre-flight mass and maximum altitude from everyone who's
participating.
